Historic Tax Credits

Established by the Louisiana Legislature in 2002, this tax credit program aims to stimulate the revitalization of income-generating historic buildings. It offers incentives to renovate neglected properties located in eligible historic districts showing promise for development. Recently, in 2023, the tax credit percentage for Qualified Rehab Expenditures (QREs) increased to 25%.
